UWP Alumni Hub Membership
Membership on the Hub is restricted to UWP alumni as defined by the Up with People International Alumni Association. We reserve the right to refuse membership to any individual or to remove any member who continually disregards these Terms & Conditions or the Hub Community guidelines.
Binding Agreement
Your registration on this site constitutes a binding agreement between you and UWP Alumni Hub governing your access to and use of the UWP Alumni Hub website, including any subdomains. We reserve the right to remove your registration and block you from future registration based on non-compliance with or violation of these terms. UWP Alumni Hub shall not be held liable for damage caused by the use of or failure to use information found on the UWP Alumni Hub website.
Services and Agreements
1. Travel or business transactions. Any agreements between UWP Alumni using this hub for home rentals, home exchanges, hosting, or jobs or other business transactions are strictly the responsibility of the private parties involved in the transaction. UWP Alumni Hub exists solely to provide a means of connection between alumni and is not responsible for transactions, agreements, or disputes arising from use of this site. UWP Alumni Hub users alone are responsible for identifying, understanding, and complying with all laws, rules and regulations that apply to any of their listings, and are also responsible for identifying and obtaining any required licenses, permits, or registrations for any services they offer. Certain types of services may be prohibited all together. If you have questions about how local laws apply to your listing(s) and service(s) on UWP Alumni Hub, you should always seek legal guidance.
2. Hub Community posts. Use of the Hub Community constitutes your agreement to be respectful to other members in text, pictures and videos you post. UWP Alumni Hub is a German company and thus must comply with German laws regarding hate speech, which outlaws speech that qualifies as disturbing public peace by, among other things, inciting hatred against parts of the populace or by reviling or slandering parts of the populace. UWP Alumni Hub reserves the right to remove posts that may violate German law, in addition to the possibility of removing the registration of the member involved, as mentioned above.
a. Copyrighted material. When you post text, pictures, or video that do not belong to you, you assert that you are doing so with the permission of the owner or copyright holder. Any complaint by the owner or copyright holder will result in removal of the content.
b. Responding to complaints. UWP Alumni Hub will make every effort to respond promptly and fairly to any complaint lodged with regard to any posts. However, UWP Alumni Hub makes no guarantee with regard to the timeframe in which reported posts will be reviewed and, if necessary, removed. Aside from compliance with German law as mentioned above, UWP Alumni Hub is not responsible for posts by members of this site.
